A Digital Celebration of Design Excellence

In the midst of a global pandemic, when live events were off the table, we reimagined one of the world’s most prestigious annual design awards The Good Design Awards as a fully digital experience.

Traditionally a glamorous 2000 in-person evening celebrating the best in global design excellence, the Awards pivoted online for the first time in their history. Our challenge? To maintain the energy, inspiration and impact of the physical event in a digital space.

We designed and delivered a week-long digital awards ceremony, revealing the winners across 12 different design disciplines each day, culminating on Day 5 with the Australian Design Of the Year award. We created over 30 unique pieces of content to spotlight the disciplines and support the winners and their stories, to keep the audience engaged across the entire awards week.

We also created a powerful, emotive brand film to launch the awards, set the tone, and reinforce Good Design Australia’s mission: to make the world a better place through good design.

Even in isolation, good design can connect us. Virtually, beautifully and powerfully.
